Long:For the longest time, various people have said that I was good enough to put artwork into the various Art Shows at the conventions I attend. I was still unsure of my chances, but I decided to give it a shot at Katsucon 12. Since the convention that year was being held at the Omni Shoreham hotel in Washington DC, which happens to be just south of the National Cathedral, I decided to do something unique, and draw various characters enjoying the cathedral grounds and the building itself.
To my surprise, three of my submissions actually sold. Maybe I've got some potential after all...

Long: A 'Shadow House' is a particular sort of garden building often found in more baroque sites. Built of stone and wood, they are open-air, and much sturdier than gazebos. The Cathedral Close has a Shadow House at one corner, marking the border between the lawn next to the bishop's residence and the rose and herb gardens. It is here that Miki Karou and Juri Arisugawa (from Revolutionary Girl Utena) have decided to sit and relax, shadowed and cooled by the fresh breezes of the interior. Who knows what Miki is writing or drawing in his notebook?

Long:In the Undocumented Features continuity, certain transformers got a second chance for life after the events of Twilight. However, this required making new bodies for them, and this gave certain Autobots a chance to get either new vehicle modes, or to return to bodies they hadn't used since they crashed on Earth four million years ago. Here are two of them, Huffer and Gears, now returned to their original Cybertron forms.
