Welcome to the Most Boring Webpage Ever Conceived…

You've probably noticed that there's a profound lack of background special effects, graphics, or even blinking text.  I personally believe that it's content and not flash that most web surfers are looking for. Sure, it's okay for people with ISDN or T1 lines to load up on the graphics-heavy pages, but we mere mortals who cruise the net at 56k or less have only so much patience.  Consider this a respite from the graphics-intensive flair that the Web has become.

  • Way too much time on his hands. :-) Of course, this is currently being remedied by my current place of employment, Daniel Woodhead Company. They make industrial electrical fixtures and connectors, and you can click here if you're interested. Plug! (ahem)
  • An addiction to good fanfics. Since MegaZone has retired from his post some other people have taken on the task of maintaining the archive.
  • Generic taste in music. :-) Hey...I know what I like.
  • Not enough money to buy good anime. *sigh*

If you really want to know what I look like, click here.   I'm posing with a Pontiac Grand Am, which my brother calls the Deathmobile.  Apparently, it doesn't have enough horses for his taste, but I like it. Of course, that was a few years back, and I now drive a Buick Regal.

 

Update!  Well, the Buick Regal was on its last tires, so I traded up for an Infiniti G35.  The only bad part about this is (other than the price tag)…they didn’t have green.  L

  • Height: 5'10
  • Weight: 140 lbs., or thereabouts.
  • Trademark green jogging jacket. :-)
  • Trademark white fishing hat.
  • Chinese by heritage, American by birth. What a mix! :-)
  • Consistently messy hair. :P
  • Typing speed: Around 70 wpm or so, depending on whether or not I've had my dose of Pepsi.

A few of my favorite things...

  • Anime...of course! :-) One good site to check out is the Anime Web Turnpike.
  • Going on IRC...usually under the nickname of DocMui.  Sadly, I don’t have much time for it anymore.
  • Writing fanfics, including Undocumented Features and Anime Detective. But, just before you jump in, a gentle intro. If you want more fanfics, there's always the Eyrie site. It's home to a lot more fanfics than just mine alone, and I think they're all worth reading.  All that, and you can even
  • Playing video games.  Sadly, I seem to have contracted the dread Pokemon virus, as I have all 5 Game Boy games, and Pokemon Stadium 1 & 2—as well as Pokemon for the Gamecube.  L  However, never let it be said that I don’t learn from some of the best trainers on the Net.
  • I do volunteer work for Omni Youth Services.  Think “Big Brother/Big Sister” only with a lot more support.  If you’re in the Chicago area and want to make a difference in a kid’s life, check it out!
  • Going to conventions, especially Anime Central.  I used to go to Katsucon, but stopped at around Katsucon 9—or, as they called it, Katsucon 9.1, the con that was snowed in.  I go there to take pictures of strange an interesting people, spend lots of $, and get art commissions done.  Maybe I’ll open up an art gallery for some of the more interesting ones.
  • I am currently hooked on City of Heroes.  If you see Mr-Kinetic on the Infinity server, that would be me.  J
