- Hej Nicolai!
FreeBSD Token Ring
Last updated 30. may 1999! Because of the never ending problem named time, the developement is going forward slowly. Check for new updates once a week. This site contains a non working driver for the Olympic based
token ring cards. The driver require a FreeBSD 3.x patched with Token Ring
support, or a FreeBSD 4.x (current). Because of limited time and capabilities it would be nice if
others where willing to do a little work on this driver. Current Features : Very Important Missing Things : The following files er required : In the kernel config file you must include "pseudo-device
token". For this driver to work create a line like "device olp0" Links : http://anarchy.stdio.com
- Larry Lile's FreeBSD Token Ring page.. Must see.. http://www.freebsd.org
- You probably know it all ready.. Additional references : For questions or comments please
send mail to npp@distortion.dk
Current status is :
The driver has been converted to a loadable module for FreeBSD 4.0.
This is the *ONLY* driver that will be release while developement is at this stage.
When a driver is somewhat stable under FreeBSD 4.0 it will be ported back. (simple stuff.)
The following cards will be supported (i think ;-) :
If you feel you have the time then please mail me. Comments and
suggestions are also very welcome.
If you have more the one card please create additional devices. (like
olp1, olp2 etc).
